Certified Welding for Demanding Projects
STM Welding AS was established in 2015. We have extensive expertise in welding, fabrication and assembly, including piping systems, vessels and related equipment. Our employees bring broad and varied experience from different industries and project environments. For larger and more extensive assignments, we also work with established partners to ensure the necessary capacity and expertise.
STM Welding AS provides services across several areas of the mechanical industry, undertaking both onshore and offshore projects. We operate two welding columns for mechanised TIG welding, as well as equipment for manual welding in our workshop and on site.
We also provide weld overlay and other fabrication services. Working closely with our customers, we develop solutions to reduce wear and extend the service life of components and products exposed to demanding operating conditions, including wear, corrosion and erosion. Applications include valves, well equipment, drilling equipment and other subsea equipment.
STM Welding AS is an approved apprenticeship training company. We are committed to developing and passing on technical expertise in welding and mechanical trades.
Our Services
TIG Welding (Tungsten Inert Gas)
STM Welding AS performs manual and mechanised TIG welding, including Hot Wire TIG. Welding processes and procedures are adapted to the relevant materials, components and customer requirements.
MIG Welding (Metal Inert Gas)
STM Welding AS performs MIG welding on various materials and components. The welding process is adapted to component dimensions, welding positions and customer requirements.
MMA Welding (Manual Metal Arc)
STM Welding AS performs manual metal arc welding using covered electrodes on various materials and components. The welding process is adapted to material type, application and customer requirements.
Weld Overlay and Cladding
STM Welding AS performs cladding and hardfacing using qualified welding procedures (WPS), qualified and documented in accordance with NS-EN ISO 15614-7 (WPQR). Procedures are adapted to the relevant materials, welding processes and customer requirements.
Materials Expertise
STM Welding AS has experience welding a wide range of materials, from carbon steel and stainless steel to duplex, super duplex, titanium and nickel alloys.
International Welding Engineer (IWE)
STM Welding AS has an in-house International Welding Engineer (IWE) responsible for technical supervision, welding procedures, qualifications and documentation.
Inspection and Testing
STM Welding AS performs internal quality control of welding work before components undergo final non-destructive testing (NDT). The scope of inspection and documentation is adapted to applicable standards, specifications and customer requirements. NDT is carried out by STM Inspection AS.
Repair and Build-up Welding
STM Welding AS performs repair and build-up welding on components and structures, including tailored solutions for wear, erosion and corrosion.
Documentation and Traceability
We provide the necessary welding documentation and traceability in accordance with project requirements.
Precision in Every Welding Project
STM Welding AS carries out welding operations using certified welders and has an in-house International Welding Engineer (IWE). Our management system is certified in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 3834-2. These certifications provide the foundation for systematic quality management, environmental management and welding process control. We work in accordance with qualified welding procedures (WPS/WPQR), adapted to materials, welding processes and customer specifications.
With strong technical expertise and established quality systems, we ensure technical supervision and quality control throughout the welding process. We have extensive experience welding various materials, including:
